With widespread snowfall and freezing rain, Storm Emma combined with the beast from the east has certainly disrupted our day to day life. Snow days may be fun, but from a wireless internet service provider point of view, its a nightmare.
We’ve not seen any major network issues, ice and snow formations on rooftop equipment are causing a few degraded services but overall, its looking good. We expect more freezing rain, freezing fog and a thaw on Monday. Signal strengths may degrade more, please call 0800 6 102 109 if your encountering issues.
On a engineering point of view, we’re stuck! Many roads in our coverage area are impassable, The M5 at Exeter closed & A39 in particular is closed at Nether Stowey due to ice. Installations are delayed with third party contractors suspending works until next week. It’s safe to say, if any work is needed or is planned, its delayed until the thaw.
Keep us informed, if you notice any damage to our network or if you interested in our service, we’ll love to hear from you.
