Read MoreOur superfast broadband network has connected homes and businesses since 2017. Whether it’s erecting an access point on a pub’s roof or acquiring and renovating disused mobile masts or erecting our own telecommunication masts, we’re driven and committed to bridge the digital divide across Somerset, through our hybrid use of the latest technologies.
Many areas are now benefiting from the expansion efforts of different operators who are deploying their own new infrastructure. This includes the incumbent Openreach, as well as alternative networks such as Airband, Jurassic Fibre, Truespeed and Virgin Media. Many operators are targeting only urban and suburban areas, leaving many properties outside of their gigabit fibre networks. These areas typically suffer from substandard broadband, these are the areas we’re targeting as a priority.
This is a computer generated projected coverage map showing the areas which could potentially benefit from our current and planned deployments. The following speeds are dependent on availability, distance and line of sight.
Red – Gigabit Services – up to 1Gbps Speeds
Orange – Ultrafast Services – up to 300Mbps Speeds
Yellow– Superfast Services – up to 100Mbps Speeds
Green/Blue – Fast Services – up to 50Mbps Speeds**
